About Letter of Intent (LoI)
Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed between NMIMS Hyderabad, a leading Deemed to be University, under the aegis of SVKM’s NMIMS, Mumbai and regional chapter of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) for a Research & Knowledge outreach activities to be undertaken by both entities through for the development of Industry & academia partnership in the regions of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. The purpose of this collaboration is to setup FICCI-NMIMS Hyderabad Center for Indian Business and bring more practice-oriented research through case writing & policy initiatives in various sectors.

February 26: Today a Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed between NMIMS Hyderabad, a leading Deemed to be University, under the aegis of SVKM’s NMIMS, Mumbai and FICCI for a Research & Knowledge outreach activities to be undertaken by both entities for the development of Industry & academia in the regions of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh.

Mr Akhilesh Mahurkar, Director of FICCI AP & Telangana State Council has interacted with the faculty & staff of NMIMS Hyderabad during the LoI signing ceremony. He elucidated the importance of academic collaboration for Industrial development, especially in the areas of Agri & Food processing, Handloom & Handicrafts, tourism & hospitality, Yoga & wellness. The purpose of this collaboration is to setup FICCI-NMIMS Hyderabad Center for Indian Business and bring more practice-oriented research through case writing & policy initiatives in the aforesaid areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tapan Kumar Panda, Director of NMIMS Hyderabad has endorsed the importance of such an alliance and said "NMIMS Hyderabad is proud to have this partnership. This would further strengthen our relationship among industry partners in days to come”. NMIMS Hyderabad shall facilitate all the research work through faculty & students that is required for development of focused industries, working with MSMEs, having dialogue from to time, disseminating the knowledge is the core objective of FICCI-NMIMS Hyderabad Center for Indian Business. The LoI has signed in the presence of Senior Faculty members, FICCI representative Mr K C Rao and Dr Ravi Kiran, Deputy Director of the campus.
