Introduction
Dr. Anup Raj is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Hyderabad, India. He graduated from Lancashire School of Business, University of Central Lancashire, in 2016 with a Ph.D. in Management. He also holds a PGDRM (MBA) from the Institute of Rural Management Anand and a B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa. Before joining the academia, Anup worked as Head of Agriculture & Natural Resource division at RMSI for   (a CMMI 5 level software company). Dr. Raj has published extensively in the reputed journals in Marketing & International Business on topics covering a wide spectrum of Marketing. His main research interests are in branding,  emerging markets, agribusiness, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability. His research paper titled "How different are corporate social responsibility motives in a developing country? Insights from a study of Indian agribusiness firms” in Thunderbird International Business Review is among top cited papers in Wiley publication. His another paper titled "Culture of Sustainability and Marketing Orientation of Indian Agribusiness in implementing CSR programs- Insights from emerging market” in Journal of Risk and Financial Management has been indexed by Web of Science Core collection. His papers have also been published in ,International Journal of Business and Emerging Markets, IGI Global publication, etc.

His main teaching interests are in the fields of Strategic Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Communication, Marketing Management,  Rural Marketing, and Agribusiness Management. He has taught courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels and has received teaching excellence awards.

Dr. Raj has conducted more than 25 management training programs for state and central government, public and private sector organizations.  This includes training and management development programs  (MDPs) for Administrative service officers, education, police, postal and railway department, power grid corporation, Netafim to name a few.

Dr. Raj has worked extensively on many social and developmental consulting assignments for government and multilateral funding agencies such as World Bank, International Finance Corporation, Japan International Corporation Agency, and GTZ.
