Introduction
Dr. Jha is an Assistant Professor in the School of Technology Management & Engineering at NMIMS Hyderabad. He pursued his doctoral research at the School of Physics, University of Hyderabad, where he explored the interconnection between neutrino oscillations in high-energy physics, quantum information and quantum simulation in his doctoral thesis entitled "Quantum Aspects of Oscillatory Neutrinos." Through the lens of mode entanglement or occupation-number entanglement, he studied various quantum correlations to analyze entanglement in two- and three-flavor neutrino oscillations. He demonstrated that bipartite and tripartite entanglement persists in neutrino oscillations by treating neutrino states as qubits. The correlations exhibited by neutrino oscillations in the tripartite system resemble the W-states, making them tangible assets for quantum information tasks. He further extended this analysis to higher-dimensional systems, such as qutrits. In addition, he developed quantum computer circuits to simulate bipartite entanglement in neutrino oscillations on IBM Quantum (IBMQ) processors, thereby leveraging quantum computing as a powerful tool to study neutrino oscillations phenomena. His work explored the potential viability of neutrinos as resources for quantum information processing.
He also served as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Physics (Astrophysics Division) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where his research continued at the interface of neutrino physics, quantum information theory, and gravitation. His work focused particularly on quantum correlations, including quantum speed limits, entanglement entropy, and quantum spread complexity. He investigated these quantum correlations in neutrino oscillations in both flat and curved spacetime. From a phenomenological perspective, he has developed extensive and distinctive expertise in this emerging interdisciplinary area. Dr. Jha has also made significant contributions to the academic community through his extensive publication record, participation in national and international conferences, and mentorship of students.
